📍 Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Thimphu (Cultural Exploration)

• Warm welcome at Paro International Airport, then transfer to Thimphu.

• Visit Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point).

• Explore Simply Bhutan Museum.

• Learn traditional craft at the Paper Making Factory.

• Stroll through the Centenary Farmers’ Market.

• Optional: visit Tashichho Dzong.
  Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu Highlights & Astrology

• Wangditse Hike for panoramic views of Thimphu.

• Visit the Takin Zoo to see Bhutan’s national animal.

• Explore Dolma Lhakhang and the nearby Astrology School (optional consultation with offerings).
  Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha (Rice Field Experience)

• Scenic drive across Dochula Pass (3,100m).

• Visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, “Palace of Great Happiness.”

• Afternoon: Join local farmers in the rice terraces (planting in May / harvesting in October).
  Overnight in Punakha.

Day 4: Excursion to Phobjikha Valley (Day Trip)

• Full-day excursion to the glacial Phobjikha Valley.

• Visit Gangtey Monastery, an important Nyingmapa monastery.

• Gentle Nature Trail hike through the valley.
  Return to Punakha for overnight.

Day 5: Punakha – Paro (Culture & Dress-Up Experience)

• Drive back to Paro with stops at:

  • Paro National Museum (Ta Dzong)
